Description: The Reading Festival continued on its 5th day engaging the students in a series of enjoyable and educational activities designed to foster in them the love for reading. The event was organized with distinct themes and activities tailored to each class level, ensuring that all students had an enriching experience. The children of Std 1 had ‘Story Quiz’, where they were asked to answer questions from famous children stories while the children of Std 2 to 5 gave a creative & vibrant presentation by enacting their ‘Favourite Story Characters’. The students of Std 3A & 4A had a ‘Character Portrayal’ activity using props and dialogues. The students of Class 6 had ‘READATHON’, a reading marathon organized to enhance their reading skills. The students were asked to do fast reading with correct pronunciation and intonation within the given time. The Word Wall Activity for Std 7 was a successful initiative that effectively enhanced students’ vocabulary as they were encouraged to contribute words they encountered in their readings, lessons, and daily life and newspapers through artistic representations of words, incorporating drawings and designs that reflected the word’s meaning.
While the 8th graders had a blast playing Story Bingo, where they enjoyed piecing story titles into the relevant bingo cards, the students of Std 9 & 10 enjoyed the book scavenger hunt, in which they were given hints to find the books in the library.
